Dissolved Air Flotation Machine (DAF System)

1. Introduction

The Dissolved Air Flotation machine (DAF) is primarily used for solid-liquid separation and liquid-liquid separation. The device produces large amounts of tiny bubbles through a dissolved gas and release system. These bubbles attach to solid or liquid particles in the wastewater with a density close to water, causing them to float to the surface for easy removal.

2. Work Principle

Air is sent by a compressor into a tank and forced to dissolve into water under 0.35Mpa pressure. Upon sudden release, this air forms a vast group of microbubbles (20-50UM). These microbubbles adhere to flocculated suspended matter (SS and CODcr) added via dosing, reducing its density and causing it to float to the surface for removal.

Dissolved Air System: Composed of a dissolved air tank, storage tank, air compressor, and high-pressure pump to ensure full air-water contact.

Chemical Dosing System: Includes metering pump, mixing motor, and PE tank for effective flocculation.
