Introduction

The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) machine is a specialized industrial system mainly used for solid-liquid and liquid-liquid separation. The device generates large amounts of tiny bubbles through a dissolved gas and release system. These microbubbles adhere to solid or liquid particles in the wastewater, reducing their overall density below that of water and causing them to float to the surface for efficient removal.

Working Principle

Air is pressurized by a compressor and sent into a dissolved air tank. Under 0.35Mpa pressure, the air dissolves into the water. When suddenly released into the flotation tank, it forms a vast group of microbubbles (20-50UM). These bubbles contact flocculated suspended matter, reducing their density and causing them to float to the surface, effectively removing SS and CODcr.
