Product Description

The wastewater plant machinery utilizes a multi-disc screw press designed for efficient oily sludge dehydration. The volute dehydrator dewatering drum consists of rings with a variable-pitch auger running through the center. Every second ring is fixed to the barrel assembly and separated by spacers, while intermediary rings are free to move.

The internal diameter of the fixed rings is larger than the diameter of the auger. The intermediary rings have an ID slightly less than the auger and hence are moved in an orbital motion as the auger turns. This movement of the intermediary rings constantly cleans the barrel assembly allowing free drainage of water. This unique arrangement allows for an extremely low power draw and efficient operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does the multi-disc screw press prevent clogging?
The machine uses a series of fixed and moving rings. As the screw auger rotates, it moves the intermediary rings in an orbital motion, which continuously cleans the gaps and prevents clogging, especially with oily sludge.
2. Is this equipment suitable for oily sludge treatment?
Yes, unlike traditional filter presses or centrifuges, the multi-disc screw press is specifically designed to handle oily sludge without blinding the filter media.
3. What are the main benefits of the PLC Siemens control system?
The integrated PLC system allows for fully automatic 24-hour unmanned operation, including startup, dewatering, and shutdown sequences, ensuring high reliability and ease of use.
4. What is the power consumption of this dewatering machine?
The multi-disc screw press operates at very low speeds, which results in significantly lower power consumption compared to centrifuges or belt presses of similar capacity.
5. What materials are used in the construction?
The main body and components are constructed from high-grade Stainless Steel (SS Steel), providing excellent corrosion resistance and a long service life in harsh wastewater environments.
6. Can the voltage be customized for our local power grid?
Yes, the motor and control system can be customized to suit your specific local voltage and frequency requirements.
