Product Description
Ultrafiltration (UF) is used to remove essentially all colloidal particles (0.001 to 1.0 microns) from water and some of the largest dissolved contaminants. The pore size in a UF membrane is mainly responsible for determining the type and size of contaminants removed. In general, membrane pores range in size from 0.005 to 0.1 micron.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the core function of a UF system vs RO system?
The core of UF is to intercept suspended solids, bacteria, and macromolecular organic matter through a 0.01-0.1μm membrane while retaining minerals. UF does not require high-pressure pumps and has lower energy consumption. They are often used together to improve water stability.
How long is the service life of an ultrafiltration membrane?
High-quality PVDF membranes typically have a service life of 3-5 years under standardized operation. The replacement cost is significantly lower than RO membranes.
Is the system operation complicated for daily use?
No. The system uses fully automatic PLC control with a touch screen interface. Daily maintenance only requires regular filter replacement and pipeline inspection, manageable by personnel after brief training.
Do you arrange shipment for large scale equipment?
Yes. For CFR or CIF terms, we arrange shipment for you. For FOB terms, clients arrange shipment through their own forwarders.
What kind of raw water can be treated by this UF system?
It is ideal for purifying surface water, underground water, tap water, and as a pretreatment step for seawater or brackish water desalination systems.
Does the system meet industrial sanitary standards?
Yes, the system is constructed with sanitary valves and pipes designed to meet standards such as GMP and FDA for industrial and food-grade applications.
