The package sewage treatment plant can be used individually or fill the gap between individual septic type systems and large municipal plants. They are used to provide sewage treatment for subdivisions, mobile home parks, hospitals, schools, recreational parks, nursing homes, factories, slaughterhouses, and other commercial businesses in outlying areas without municipal sewer facilities.
Replacing the secondary sedimentation tank with membrane modules maintains a high concentration of activated sludge in the bioreactor. This increases the organic load and reduces the footprint. The sludge age (SRT) can be extended to more than 30 days, significantly reducing residual sludge volume.
