Working Principle
As equipment starts running, sludge flows into the filter cylinder and moves forward to the sludge cake outlet under the thrust from the screw shaft. The filter cylinder consists of fixed rings, moving rings, and a shaft. The initial sections handle thickening, while the latter sections perform dewatering. The decreasing space between screw blades increases inner pressure, squeezing liquid out through gaps while pushing dry solids to the outlet.
