1.1 Working Principle
FLPT type automatic dosing system is an equipment for continuous preparation and dosing of polymer solution. It continuously and efficiently completes the combination and mixing of polymers according to the required reagent concentration, so as to obtain a homogeneous and active polymer solution, and deliver the configured solution to the dosing point or the specified system through the dosing pump. It is mainly used in municipal water treatment, sewage plant and other occasions where polymer solution is used.
The working process is mainly divided into the following steps:
- Add dry powder into the hopper to transport it to the pre-wetting device while the water inlet solenoid valve opens.
- The mixed solution flows to the homogenization curing tank for re-mixing through the overflow weir to meet activity requirements.
- Once the solution storage tank is filled, liquid level switches trigger the automatic closing of valves.
- The dosing pump delivers the drug solution to the required equipment.
- The system repeats steps automatically when reaching the low liquid level set point.
1.2 Main Components
1.2.1 Dosing Device: Composed of a 60L stainless steel hopper (with mirror and level meter), high-precision screw conveyor driven by a worm gear reducer, and an electric heater to prevent moisture caking.
1.2.2 Drug Dissolving Device: Includes a stainless steel cyclone pre-wetting bucket, a three-tank structured stainless steel body (mixing, ripening, storage), and two specialized low-speed agitators to protect polymer molecular chains.
1.2.3 Water Supply System: Built with UPVC pipelines, filters to protect solenoid valves, pressure gauges, rotameters for flow display, and stop valves for regulation.
1.2.4 Control System: Integrated electrical control cabinet with liquid level switches to manage the entire automated process.
1.3 Scope of Application
- Coagulant, disinfectant and acid-base solution addition in water treatment.
- Scale inhibitor addition in cooling and circulating water systems.
- Chemical industry and printing/dyeing solution preparation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the main application of the FLPT dosing system?
A1: It is primarily used for the continuous preparation and dosing of polymer solutions in municipal water treatment, sewage plants, and industrial cooling systems.
Q2: How does the system prevent the dry powder from clogging?
A2: The system uses an electric heater in the discharge pipe to prevent moisture-induced caking and a cyclone pre-wetting device for uniform mixing.
Q3: Is the system fully automated?
A3: Yes, the control system manages the entire process, from water inflow and dry powder transport to stirring and dosing, based on liquid level signals.
Q4: Can the concentration of the prepared solution be adjusted?
A4: Yes, the flow of inlet water, dilution water, and the dosing pump can all be adjusted to reach the required concentration.
Q5: What materials are available for the tank construction?
A5: Optional materials include Stainless Steel (SS304/SS316L), Polypropylene (PP), and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
Q6: What is the typical curing time for the liquid medicine?
A6: The system is designed to ensure a curing time of approximately 45 to 60 minutes for optimal solution homogenization.
